sorry to interrupt, Nigel, nobody makes pusher fans that small it seems.

you can get real cheap 4" inch, 12 volt fans direct from China for around $1.00 each.

Jose, I'm still awaiting an email back about the Titan fans regarding the IP rating so fingers crossed.

Orlando, the double cores give a bit bigger fluid capacity but in not sure of the actual quantity. All I know with it I never have any cooling issues when running, just gets a bit hot on really hot days when stuck in traffic hence tryito fit a fan on the oil cooler. If you are interested in an uprated rad contact Northampton Radiators who are very knowledgeable and helpful, they usually have a stand at the Jaguar spares day.

Interestingly the C27105U ~ uprated radiator supplied to me by Barratts is made by Northampton Radiators. Has a little plate of theirs soldered at the base of the core.

Thanks, Nigel and Glyn. Nigel, I looked back at your post about temperatures in this thread http://www.jagstyperegister.com/forum_n ... ?f=18&t=99 where you said on that day of 30C+ temperature:
The engine ran fine at a constant 70mph with the water temp at or just below 70 deg
On the oil front, I don't have an oil temp gauge, so don't know how hot mine gets, but it was hot enough to make Penrite 20W/50 fall out of grade. (I had it tested when the oil pressure dropped). Synthetic next time, for me.

Yes, I'll have a chat with NAR on 31 March.

Those "Classic" 20W-50's always fell out of grade if stressed. Cheap unstable VI Improver. Especially so in FWD Minis, 1100's & Land Crabs where you had engine & gearbox common sump. The gearbox did a fine job of chopping up the polymer.

Just an update on the oil cooler mod I'm working on, I've got a fan for it now. It's 80mm diameter, 4800rpm, 60CFM and IP67 waterproof. Al I have to do now is take off the then grill and make a bracket for it with a mesh guard to give it a bit of protection. It will be wired to a switch under the dash. It is made in China but not cheap! They are made for fog machines.

glad you found it.

The Chinese are not making junk like they did before. They are producing quality products.

a good example is the acoustic and electric guitars made in China. The quality is surpassing Made In USA guitars at one sixth the price. The well-established companies like Fender, Gretsch, Epiphone, and now Gibson are producing the parts in China and then assemble the guiitars in USA.

even the famous Hofner German Bass made famous by Paul McCartney is now producing superb quality Paul McCartney Bass replicas in China. The irony is that the Chinese replica is a better playing instrument than the German original.
