manual choke operation
The auto choke operation has been bypassed and has an electric switch to put the choke on or off, what I need to do is fit an on or off warning light. Has anybody made a round escutcheon to go on the warning light with the word choke.

Re: manual choke operation
I converted mine to an electric on off switch by utilising a rear heated window switch. I had several choke escutcheons made to fit the switch as can be seen in the photos. I only used the one and I have about ten more made up but they have been put away somewhere safe and for the life of my I cannot remember where that safe place is. Give me a couple of weeks going through my boxes and I should be able to find them if you want one but you will have to find a rear heated screen switch o go with them.
My conversion was covered in the archives at http://www.jagstyperegister.com/forum/v ... itch#p1867 although I have altered the wiring now so I still have the otter switch attached to the system.

Re: manual choke operation
Hi Rob
I already have the switch fitted under the dash, so I was going to put a warning lamp on but I needed to make the escutcheon that the lamp fits through similar to the handbrake warning lamp . I can see from the attachment that you used what looks like Perspex But I was trying to figure how to print the word choke on the radius

Re: manual choke operation
I contacted a company in Torquay who do things like 3D printing and computerised cutting and etching and took in the old perspex sign I had for the rear window heater switch. They scanned that in to the computer then changed the wording to "CHOKE" and cut out a batch for me from a piece of perspex. It was as cheap to have twenty made as it was to have one made. I painted the letters white then painted the backing black to get what I now have.
