Hi folks. I was looking at this sad car on ebay: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Jaguar-S-Typ ... 2719629678.
I notice it has a pipe at the rear of the engine bay below the chassis plate where my car has nothing apart from the empty tab. It's a metal pipe on RH and braided hose on LH. From the wider shot, it looks like the braided hose connects to another metal pipe on the top of the cylinder head - see the inverted V-shaped plate between the two rear-most head bolts. There is also a funny looking device near the front of the cylinder head between cylinders 5 and 6 - though maybe someone has just left that there.
Anyone know what these things are?

That's the clutch hydraulic pipe Orlando. You don't have one as your car is Auto. Flexible link between body mounted pedal box/clutch master cylinder & suspended bell housing mounted slave cylinder.

I did a small mod on the pipe fitting when I did the head job recently, the pipe interferes with the head nut enabling retorquing it without removing the pipe.
