S Type sold at latest Mathewsons auction in Yorkshire for £7k.

Body work looks good but it needs a lot of little tidying work on the interior. No VIN plate showing as it is hidden on the firewall with some soundproofing which is not original. Love the 8 track tape player.
I would have said for £7k who ever bought this got a good deal. I would have put it closer to £12k and perhaps 15K with the tidying up work done. I have seen a lot worse for more money but this was an auction.

Looks a very good buy for the price. That firewall padding comes from an old Barratts Underbonnet Mk2 kit. Lots of new parts fitted. Attempts at some restoration are wrong. Things like radiator & tailpipes are new. Both rear arches have seen work. Probably slight tin rot. Generally I would say a good buy. Many of the underbody rot spots look good. Likely a garaged car.
