The "GUV" looking most handsome in that setting!

Thanks, Glyn. I'm sure the owners of the elegant old Rollers thought it was rather "new money". Though the same could be said of Rolls' own offerings of the 1960s. :)

The Guv'nor at Grimsthorpe Castle at the weekend. One chap was kind enough to say it was his favourite car in the show (and there were at least 1,000). So that was nice. :D

Hi folks

Sorry for the lack of posts recently. What a year it's been! I thought I might post a few pix of the Guvnor, to prove that it still exists!

Nothing to show for 2020 for me. Every classic car show was cancelled. Every wedding I had (50 in total) was postponed. Lockdown gave me a chance to do some body work I have already posted about but that is it. Bring on 2021 and a bit more normality.
Happy New Year everyone.

Happy New Year all.

The GUV is looking great.

All cancelled this end. Was hoping to have my car in at least the Jag concours. But alas all fell over.

Agreed! Roll on the normality we so took for granted.

It's been a while, but GUV is still alive and well and living in Scotland. And so am I! It's taken eight months to find somewhere to store it. The place I've found has a heated floor! The only annoying thing is how often it rains up here. Seemingly every time I take the car out!

Greetings, everyone. Sorry for the lack of posts lately. Life is complicated.

Still, I did get to use my S-type for my friends' wedding in Oakham a few weeks back. It seemed to go down well and it behaved faultlessly, which is more than can be said for the weather, which kept us guessing right up to the wedding itself. Then, thankfully, the sun came out!

The groom had done some work at my house in 2016 and admired the car then and I promised him a ride in it, which never happened, for a multitude of reasons. So, he wisely decided that the way to get that ride was to have it as his wedding car! "Now for the best bit", he said, rubbing his hands together as he and his new bride emerged from the Castle after the ceremony. "And it even smells like a proper Jag!"
