The “Beauty of the Beast – art- form-function-freedom” exhibit of motorcycles, attached, tells the short story of the 50 years we have owned our 1928 B.S.A. Motor Bicycle 2.49 H.P. “B28” De Luxe
The BSA arrived in South Carolina in 2019 and was stored with our stuff from Arizona and Lesli’s from New Hampshire as we slowly got things sorted out on the farm. This Spring I felt caught up enough to give attention to the BSA and cleaned it up, built a trailer, and installed the Witter tow bar to the ‘S’-type (See Newsletter Vol, 5, No. 3).
Last weekend we all went to the Carolina British Classic XIV Car Show and our ‘S’-type placed 2nd in the ‘Jaguar Sedans pre-1967’ class, to a beautifully restored Jaguar Mk2 which won Best of Show, and the BSA won first place in ‘Other British’.
This summer I plan to get it running for the Fall car shows.
Keep on 'S'-type-ing,
David
