Boot Box
Re: Boot Box
Looks cool. I think the hight in the back might be double the one of the foldable boxes.
So if you want to transport a battery or something, it will be a no go.
Offcourse we can't force you, still I think I will wait until you have the time to take it out.
Worth waiting for. (and for now, thanks for the idea)

Re: Boot Box
As you are forcing me (lol,) and the weather is good I will try and do it tomorrow for you.
As you can see from one of the photos I keep a large aluminium cased tool box in the box and behind that is a full set of imperial sockets. Then to the side I have wash and polish stuff with spare engine oil, steering and brake fluid. It just keeps all that stuff out of sight at car shows so when I take out the table and chairs the boot floor is clear so I can lay out some documents and brochures relating to the S Type for people to see.

Re: Boot Box
Wow, that's the spirit.
I didn't want to force you, but now I'm looking forward to it.
I'll get my sawing machine ready for the weekend

Re: Boot Box
when looking at my boot, I realised I did not have the same space
as yours. The former owner produced a shelve for the speakers.
So the hight of my box had to be less.
I produced the following (out of an old radio cabinet)
on the right side I place my stuff (oil, lamp,...) and left I placed a toolbox
(another round one is placed in the spare wheel, I know it's too much, but
I can't help it)
On top I placed a led light, so I can see which tool I have to take out when
it's dark.
I ordered one of the boxes 40 cm as showed on the former pictures
(which should be just the space needed), so I can orden things a bit.
the safety belt is there to keep the cabinet in place
as yours. The former owner produced a shelve for the speakers.

Re: Boot Box
The most useful thing I bought back in 2019 is a rotatable magnetic LED mechanic's light. As a lead light replacement. Holds charge forever & I've never run the battery flat. Time & time again proven helpful when I can't see what I'm doing. Extremely bright. Has a flashlight in the end.
