1967 3.4S Opelescent Maroon
Don't care about my pseudo, I own another cat .
I ive in France, close to Paris.
I was born in 1959 and then started in 2011 by an XJC 4.2 manual+overdrive in opalescent silver grey.
Then in 2014 I was called for a barn-find 3.4 S model, far from home, in Auvergne, Clermont-Ferrand.
Had been stopped for more than 15 years in a safe environement, not looking that bad.
It belonged to a friend's brother.
Had it restarted by a local mechanic who ... took his time, as usual in Europe ...
And then he told that the head was worn-out, cristallized coolant had bitten a waterway and it was communicating with a combustion chamber.
No other solution than purchasing a renovated one, have it delivered.
More used to Citroen "11cv Traction" than Jags he warped 2 valves, then now 2 old valves and 10 new ones.
The clearances were approximately processed ...
And then some more time after it was done.
One tank is out of order.
Veneer and leather dried, carpets worn-out.
But running well.
Since that veneer, leather and carpets were home-refurbished, exhaust line was replaced, wire-wheels were replaced, a Parisian coachworker changed sills,
This car was originally Golden Sand - which was not that bad ! - but the vendor of the previous owner was a wedding-car rental company and it was not apparently fitting with the bride's white cloths. So had it painted in Opalescent Maroon which is a nice color too.
Tan interior.
Howerver they did not care about engine bay and some uninteresting areas.
It's a manual, with overdrive, but no power-steering which helps me making sports when parking it.
Overall a beaufitul car which would need a respray for a few bubbles but not that many.

That's a lovely looking car, Philippe and in a great colour. Mine is also opalescent maroon! The yellow fog lights are a really nice authentically French feature. Thanks for taking the time to tell us about it.
