Rubber boot for gear lever on manual gearbox cars

Post by John Quilter »

I am planning to replace the perished rubber boot under the console that surrounds the gear lever. Factory parts book shows this as BD14134 and it appears in the XKs website as well but the photo of the part shows its base to be round while mine is oval shaped. Anyone bought one lately and can confirm if it is actually oval shaped?

They are round. They have always been round. You have to stretch them into the oval shape.
