Immediately after fitting the roof lining Joe so that I could reasonably close up the car from dust, dirt etc. I only sealed the screens in and inserted the expander strips & chrome later just in case I had to remove one again which did not happen. I only sealed the rubbers to glass & body externally as these products could damage an entire roof lining job. We used a slow cure (approx 3 days) product by Den Braven IIRC, recommended by the local industry. The product was injected fastidiously & evenly both glass & body side from an electric cartridge gun as instructed in the WS Manual. Zero leaks.

I am presuming that your car being 1965 has the glued to dome centre panel of the roof lining like mine & not the board only used on later cars.

Hopefully you can see the bottom rail rubber that is circled. Is this the way it is supposed to be or should the rubber be trimmed? Please show pictures of yours on what is correct.

Thanks

Mine are not original and the old ones had been removed before I got the car but once I had fitted mine it did not look right with the rubber around the chrome like you have it so trimmed it off to be level with the door top and the bottom of the chrome.
Just be careful when you do this not to stretch the rubber as you cut it or it will shrink back too small to fit the length of the window glass.
This is what mine look like but remember this might not be how they came out of the factory. Pictures of David's car might be better as a reference.

The rubber "wipers" only go on the winding windows against the glass as do whisker strips on the inside of the glass. Not over any chrome. Yours are correct Rob.

The vacuum operated water flow valve to the heater is required or the heater will be on all of the time. They are difficult to find in good working order but there are alternatives that will do the job
Glyn,
Found one that will work. Since my car did not have one, where does the vacuum connect?

Joe on the centre consul below the radio there is a three button switch which reads AIR, HEAT and OFF. Behind this there are three rubber hoses. The first which is very long runs between the vacuum tank behind the front left hand head light in the wing and the three button switch. The next two are short rubber hoses, one runs to the heater vacuum switch that you are playing with the the second runs to the vacuum switch on the bulkhead which operates the scuttle flap. I cannot remember which hose connects to which pipe on the back of the three button switch but it is not hard to work out and with a little bit of trial and error you should be able to connect them up correctly so when you push the AIR button the flap opens, the HEAT button open the heater vacuum valve and the third hose the long one goes to the two joined pipes.

Just to add to Glyn's excellent explanation, the hose for the heater valve goes through the bulkhead sort of behind the heater, through the hole marked in the pic below. Ideally, there should be a grommet round it.

You will find Plate 88 in the Parts Catalogue helpful when trying to work this out.
