XJ6 Engine Problem

Refitted the starter and retired getting it going - it all works fine now no strange noises or rattles, gearbox appears fine running it through the gears with the selector but only a road test will confirm. Only thing to do to the engine is a bit of fine tuning and refit the bonnet when the liner turns up.

Thanks for all the comments, advice and commiserations over the last year even though it's not an S Type, it has helped me keep going when sometimes I could have put a match to the car!
