Happy 50th Birthday

Post by cass3958 »

I would just like to wish my car Happy Birthday on its 50th anniversary. Although built in Sept 1967 it was not registered for the road until February 1968 so officially 50 years on the road.
It’s had a heart bypass, new knees and hips, dyed its hair and had a tummy tuck but essentially it’s the same car. Not as good as some but better than others.
I have never named my cars so it is nameless but it is female I think as I often say “Come on old girl you can do it!”
Happy Birthday old girl and here’s to 50 more.

Do you mean the Alvis? If so it was sold to a man in Hong Kong.

Thought I better wish her a belated happy birthday.

I've had no internet for the last couple of weeks due to the S Type sinking into the drive way and trashing the cable underneath the block paving. I think it's her way of telling me "I want my garage back!" as the Frogeye is still sitting in it. I've promised her a nice new brake servo for her birthday this month when she turns 54.
