Thanks David,
I must pay my bucks & subscribe to your newsletter. All my research over the years has taken place without access to them. Going to be interesting to compare notes.

Are you suggesting that the Fluid Cooled decal only applies to push in HT lead coils onward?

Out of interest I've had the pleasure of attending the Pebble Beach Concours on 3 occasions & the Historical Racing at Leguna Seca the day before. It is a privilege to witness the standard to which some of those cars are prepared.

My car has the screw-in HT lead and the fluid cooled label. I haven't seen a push-in, but assume that as it is an HA12 with only that change that it would also have that label.

A quick question, the later plastic washer bottle that my car had from new built August 1965 has no stickers or decals like the earlier glass washers already mentioned, I assume this is correct, as I have never seen any.
Last point, the seat belt plate fitted to Rob's 1967 S type is not on my 1965 car, again I assume this is correct as U.K. legislation stated seat belts anchors only from 1965 and front seat belts from 1967, hence no plate required for 1965 model ?.

Thanks! I'm pretty sure both HA12 labels were in fact used on S Types.

Correct on both counts to the best of my knowledge.

My August 1965 car had no stickers on its original 5SJ plastic screen washer bottle.

It also never had the seat belt anchorage plate, nor the Made in England plate, come to that

There were no labels on the plastic windscreen washer.
See Newsletter Vol 5, No 11 for details of both.
