Length of handbrake cable needed

Post by JCS »

Can anyone supply me with the inner and outer handbrake cable lengths?

I particularly need the outer cable length, but the inner cable length would also be good for record purposes.

A number that I have seen appear to be about 2 inch (50mm) short, including the one on my car.

Thanks in anticipation for your help.

Unfortunately, I don't have one off the car, so I can't measure it. I'm sure SNGB would measure one for you if you were thinking of buying one: https://www.sngbarratt.com/uk/#!/Englis ... fb54aa7f72

Thanks for your comment. The reason I did not want to bother SNGbarratt at the moment is that I suspect that the present "Genuine" cables may be short, in which case I will get Speedograph at Arnold to make me one. If however I find Barrett's are supplying the correct cable I will purchase from that source.

Really its a matter that I don't want to use someone's resources if I am not purchasing from that company. I thought if someone has a cable on the bench I might obtain some feed back on the lengths. My present cable may not be genuine, in fact it appears too short.

Thanks again for taking the trouble to reply.

Mine was supplied by Barratts & fit's & works just fine. Did not detect any variation from original tired one. Also no longer have one on the bench to measure.
