I have gotten an extra s-type service manual. It is a photocopy of the Jaguar issued book. I flipped through it and it appears to be complete. It is securely housed in a generic 3 ring binder. In useable condition. Asking $30 plus $16 flat rate postage inside the US, will ship worldwide, but am not sure what international shipping would be.
I also have a few other extra manuals: xj6 Series 3 service manual- 14 bound sections in a larger Jaguar binder Copyright 1981, Issue number AKM9006
XJ6 and Daimler series 3 parts manual, 1987, RTC9897CA,
a photocopy of same manual in a 2 band strap folder- seems secure
2- BL XJS parts manuals August 1975, RTC9109A and January 1977, RTC9109B
$30 each, $16 shipping inside US, same deal worldwide. Make offer, I would like them to go to someone who can use them. Thanks

You can buy an original 1960s S type workshop service manual which we call the blue book off EBay for £30.

I already have three. One pristine in the car for shows. One clean but used in the house for reference and one used and oily for the garage.

Not to argue, but I did some research and found currently 2 listed, one at $65 and one at $99. So I halved that. I found the same of the others that currently Do have listings- some don't. The prices were all in The same vicinity of $60 to $80. I am not trying to gouge, but simply make them useful instead of sitting on more shelves so I put "make offer." Thanks for input, I'll try to find a better price guide next time.

Interesting. I have 3 for exactly the same reasons. My car show version is leather bound. Found it at Foyles Bookstore in London, new ~ must have been a special run at some time. It was in a plastic wrapper that was full of dust. The most helpful old chap at the counter said we have those in leather & disappeared into the back of the store. He reappeared blowing dust all over me & others. I was delighted. Apparently there was a matching parts manual in leather but I've never even seen one.
I also have it in pdf. format for easy clipping & posting.

There are three (3) editions of “3.4 and 3.8 ‘S’ Models Service Manual”, E/133/1, E/133/2 and E/133/3.
Jaguar did not do a re-write of the Service Manual for the second edition. Rather, they added the changes that had taken place since the introduction of the ‘S’-type by listing corrections (addenda) to each section on a new cover sheet and adding new updated information in supplementary pages to the appropriate sections.
In total, the 2nd Edition has eight (8) new cover sheets with Addenda and forty-three (43) pages of supplementary information to eight (8) sections.
E/133/3 is in a four-ring binder rather than the two brass-post binder of E/133/1 and E/133/2. The writing on the spine is identical, however the front cover states, “issued by Jaguar Cars, British Leyland UK Limited, Coventry CV59DR, England.” and carries a copyright date of 1972. Other differences are:
Cover page: The front page is redesigned and carries the ‘British Leyland Jaguar’ rectangular logo. The Pub. No. is on the lower left corner rather than the center of the back page as with E/133/2.
Contents: The contents of E/133/3 are identical to E/133/2.
Cheers,
David
