So, have you managed to improve or resolve the fumes situation at all, John?

By the way, if anyone has an original scuttle vent outlet pipe (BD10370) installed, please could they upload a pic of the routing of it? I have installed my nice new one from SNGB, but it seems perilously close to the exhaust manifold.
Thanks ever so in anticipation.

is it just hanging down? it should be held to the firewall with existing bendable tabs following the curvature of the firewall or bulkhead.

Car not driven yet, But with what has been replaced I am confident. Items replaced were scuttle vent pipe, engine breather filter, a couple of sealing rubbers on the fire wall and a replacement Boot seal.

Fingers crossed, then, John. Let us know how you get on.
Jose, that's what I did, but there is less than an inch between the tube and the exhaust manifold. See pic. That said, it may all fit better when I have replaced the heater pipes with the correct ones and hooked the rear one properly under the heater box.

Orlando it should be routed towards the transmission tunnel, the way you have it outside of the tunnel is not the correct routing.
by the way that is a nice clean engine compartment, and you have the correct C19704 Heater Valve.

Ah, okay. Thanks for the advice, Jose. As before, if anyone can provide a photo of their install, it would be greatly appreciated.
And hands off my NOS heater valve.

better not let Cass see it!
the hose I have is not the original BD10370, it's one I made up with a heater hose. I will get a picture of it asap.

No jealousy here. I do not crave a C19704 Heater Valve but it would be nice to have one that worked.
Must buy the vent tube and fit it though. Thanks for the info.
