Here is a redo in progress on a LHD. Note door cards are missing top roll under wood.

That carpet colour goes very well with the wood on the dash. Do you know what the external colour of this car was Glyn?

I am assuming a silver by the internal paint colour on the back seat!

I found these photos of my carpets and sound proofing going in. As stated my carpet kit came with carpet pieces to go over the cross member so I used them but to be able to remove the carpets from the back foot wells for cleaning I had to do some cutting so the carpet went around the seat brackets and not under them. If I had not the only way to remove the rear carpets would have been to unbolt the seats from the floor. Stupid.
I have to say I was not truly happy with the fit of the carpets and complained to the company I bought them from and they stated that the carpets had been cut using the original carpets from the companies owners own S Type as patterns. I don't think so. The carpet in the passengers and drivers footwells were not long enough and did not reach up to the christmas tree fixings under the dash. Nor were they quite as wide as I would have wanted them to be to sit flush against the sides of the sills and gearbox tunnel so I sent them back and they extended them for me by about 3 inches in length and an inch in width. Same for the rear footwell carpets, again too short and they went back to be exchanged. I had to send them a paper template of what I actually required. They were good enough to make them up for me though at no extra cost and they fit well now.
The company I used was Danbury Classic Car Carpets who are based in Essex, UK. The carpets set, all the underlay, the Hardura for the boot floor and side panels plus an extra section of Hardura to do the underside of the bonnet cost me with delivery and Tax £320 back in 2014. Possibly not the best fit at first but they then again they were the cheapest I had found and I was working to a strict budget. Something else I might upgrade in a year or two when they start showing wear.

Thanks Glyn,
Gold on Gold! Might be a bit over the top but it is still a great interior colour.

Noico sound deadening material done, except for the doors. Finish that and onto installing the interior. WooHoo.
