Attached is the original photo showing that area on my car at strip down showing the rubber hose but the hot/cold cable has been removed as this was part of the interior strip down.

Not a clue. I can honestly say I have not seen these pieces before. I do not think I have them on my car so I would be very interested in what they are and where they go. Can you give us an idea on the size of them Joe? Do they have a thread which is covered with paper from the chroming process or are they a push fit? Do they have a square under the head so they sit in a square hole to stop them rotating if there is a nut on the other end?
Sorry more questions than answers.
