Ok I thought I had bought an S type Car jack (as advertised plus420 & 420G) but I cant get it to fit the space, the floor cover fowls the top of the jack it looks identical to the jack that was serviced by Jose the only difference being the top domed cover does not have any screws to remove the cover.
If the jack is facing with the jacking arm up it hits the handle in the middle of the floor closure cover, if it is turned with the jack arm down the crank handle hits the cover. It is identical to the unit being shown on this web site on page 4

The domed cover is tack welded in place on mine.

Here is mine in position in the boot of the car. I have the handle sticking out to the side where the handle of my Thor hammer is.
If I was really anal I should take this out and give it a good clean or possibly a repaint.lol.
