Hi guys,

Anyone of you got any information about this item having part number RT1072/6? According to Barratts web site it says A Post filler, however I just can't locate it on the downloaded catalouge.

Sorry Albion I have checked the Heritage parts manual and cannot find this listed either in the diagram or under that part number. I have just been out to my car and had a look around the A pillar to see if I could see anything that resembled it but could not.

There is one piece on the diagram around the A pillar which appears to be a small piece of rubber. It says it is plate 83 part 29 part numbers BD19155 and BD19156 Sealing rubber for front door shut pillar but I think they have this wrong and it should be part BD 21361 and 62 which are described as Plate number 83 part 28 Sealing rubber on hinge face at waist level on front door 8 inches long. This might fit what you have there but I cannot remember fitting a small piece of rubber seal on my car like this and would not know exactly where it is supposed to go.

Good morning Robert,

Thanks for your reply. I really do not know anything about it, but I do not think it belongs to this model. Still, it was among the rubber seal kit I got from Sng. I will keep it aside and then we will see. In the meantime, Rob, I appreciate if you could send me pictures of strips you have available.

Albion.
The rubbers in question go each side inside the front door shuts from the quarter light down inside the door. The front door waist chrome where the bolt holds the trim at the front is under the rubber. When my re-spray guys came to fit the new door rubber kit from Barratt's as they had the doors off these were missing from the kit. After contacting Barratt's it appears these were in short supply on back order so they sent the kit incomplete.
They have since sent rubbers through but they are wrong far too long and will have to be cut. They should with a fiddle be still be able to be fitted now the doors are back on.
As the re-spray guys removed all the door rubbers they knew the kit was short of these two. All my rubbers on the car were original when removed.
The part numbers I asked for were BD19155 & BD19156 the front door A pillar rubbers were the only ones missing.
I have been away on cruise for a few weeks so just catching up on the posts hence no posts.
Regards

Thanks for that info Dave. I do not have these strips of rubber so they must have been missing from my kit which I bought from Wilkinsons five years ago. Anyone got a picture of these rubbers in situ please.

Just a thought, would it be the short rubber piece that is glued to the inside leading edge of the front doors?

That's the rubber Nigel, I remember having to cut the hard original rubber to take the nut of the trim bolt inside the front doors when removing the waist chrome trims. I will fit the trims first then glue the rubbers on the doors when it stops raining !! hopefully this year.

I don't have that rubber fitted to my car and was certainly not in the kit I bought so I think that will have to go on the list of parts to buy.
