Lights Escutcheon with fourth position for fog lights
Lights Escutcheon with fourth position for fog lights
The road light switch fitted to the S Type in the UK had the option of being a three position switch for 1. Off 2. Side lights 3. Headlights. These switches were fitted with an Escutcheon that just had O/S/H on it.
Some UK and cars bound for Europe which had Fog lights fitted had a four position switch for 1. Off 2. Side lights 3. Headlights 4. Fog lights. These switches were fitted with an Escutcheon that had the extra position marked as F for Fog. These had O/S/H/F on them.
In my New boxes of parts I have found a brand new four position light switch but it does not come with the Escutcheon. Does anyone have a round black Escutcheon for the lights switch with the fourth position F on it spare as I would like to fit this switch to my car to operate fog lights.

Do Barratts rip people off locally on postage? Internationally they get the lowest rates out of UPS by some margin.
I see people asking 20 Pounds for these things on eBay. Only a few years back they were 6 Pounds new.

It is not that SNG over charge for postage it is just that they have a set rate for postage up to a certain weight. This means that as I found to my cost if you want a specific part, Like a spacing washer for the rear suspension C16628 as I was missing one, the cost of the washer was less than a pound but the postage was £6.50. If I had bought 100 washers and several other items up to a certain weight it still would have cost me £6.50. When ordering off SNG at first I paid for the item and did not ask what the postage was going to be and they do not tell you so it is a bit of a shock when it arrives and you realise how much they have charged you. The charge includes postage, a massive jiffy bag, insurance and a handling/packing charge so I feel happy that my £1 washer is insured.
I am loath to pay £20 for a bit of plastic so I might wait until June at the Jaguar show we are going to as there might be some Auto jumble there or wait until Beaulieu in September as I am not in a rush.

Here in the U.S., SNG finally started offering USPS for shipping. Small parts are only $5.00. Sorry Rob....I do not have one.

Yes, in the UK, you can now opt to have Royal Mail postage for smaller/lighter items at considerably less cost.
