yes I have driven 3.4 liter MK-2 (not S type), and concluded the 3.4 was a "sweeter" engine and not much different if any, from a 3.8.

there is a member of this forum who used to race MK-2 and now he has a S type.

He has a website called "Old Irish Racing". You can find his introduction here in the "Your S type" section.

I'm sure he can give you tips.
