I've converted to a 4 pos switch when I refurbished the dashboard. The gearbox cross member had a rust hole in it that had been stuffed with newspaper then covered with filler and painted black.

My Jag shouldn't have passed the MOT 2 years ago with the state the rubbers were in. I bought it with the agreement it would pass, there you go, lots of malicious MOT stations who would let a car pass for some reason. We have a random recheck by the official authorities , if the results are differen...

We have currently cars with 30+ years every other year, and cars from before 1960 no MOT at all. Legislation is about to change, plans in NL were all cars with 50+ years no MOT , but in Belgium they have now 50+ cars every 5 years for MOT, our legislation change was planned for May, and didn't happe...

One side done, I ordered a pair :oops: should have been two pair. Photo shows the deplorable state of the rubbers :lol: :lol:
