I was assigned one of these in the early 1970's while stationed at Camp Pendleton, CA. My wife and I (both Marines) would take this out for lunch on the base. Her old serial number is on the hood. This vehicle is dedicated to the most decorated Marine unit in history.....the 2nd Battalion, 5th Marines. My first car show is next weekend and it was driven in last year's Veterans Parade. She is outiftted with and Browning M2 .50 caliber machine gun. It is known as the "Ma Deuce", hence the name on the jeep. She also has an M-16 between the seats and radios in the rear. I am not bored anymore waiting for my Jag (Miss Kitty) to get done.
