All the clips on the doors are pop rivetted in. This is the body moulding kit that SNG Barrett supply. https://www.sngbarratt.com/English/#/UK ... TINGS(585)
It is made up of all the clips you need and the photo is not very clear but if you look closely at the photo there are lots of rivets with a round end to them. These are for the doors. To rivet them in place you need a long nosed rivet gun which sits inside the round section so it can pull the rivet tight. The chrome strip then push fits over the top of the round section. My car is a 1967/8 and the holes in my door were round not slots like yours but the rivets will still fit.
This is the top of my door.

These are not the clearest of photos as they are cropped from another photo but they show the pop rivets in place waiting for the chrome strip.

I have some of those staple type clips but the tabs that you would bend over after putting through the slot are too fat and don't fit through the slot. And how would you ever get your hand up behind that area of the door. to even bend them. If I recall from when I dismantled the doors years ago that it was a spring type of clip that was compressed slightly to get through the slot then opened up once inserted. Maybe I'm wrong, it was a while ago and they all basically crumbled into rust dust.

They are readily available from various suppliers.

Door Chrome trim

Hello everyone
I am in need of the clips that attache the chrome trim to the doors. I have ordered what is supposed to be the clips from SNG and they don't fit the trim slot nor the door holes. If anyone knows where I can purchase these I would appreciate the lead or if you have some for sale let me know. I have also tried generic plastic clips from Amazon with a little alteration and they just bend when trying to install.
