The Auto console is quite different to the Manual console due to the wider Auto tunnel. Quite aside from the gear lever hole.

I would have thought that the centre console of a 420 would be closer than a Mk10. I have a contact for a man in the UK who breaks Jaguars and has several S types and 420s. His name is Rob Burston and his telephone number is 01823400128 or you can send him an email at bugjeanette@aol.com
I know he will have the parts you need but getting hold of him is very difficult but please keep trying.

Dears

Unfortunately my original console is completely missing.
I currently have a non-original one, adapted to fit the air conditioning.
On ebay and at the usual knows spare parts dealers, I have not found anything.
Could you possibly help me / find an original console?
My car is automatic, but will be acceptable also for manual.
Another question, the MK X center console will be suitable for S Type ?
