The wire wheels really suit it and make it look really sporty. But we have had this discussion on another thread and I still prefer the wire wheels.

The latest update. The conversion to wire wheels has been completed and so has the Derrington steering wheel. I am happy with both, pictures below.

Realized that photo makes it look dark blue because of the light. It is a R.A.F. or squadron blue in brighter light.

Joe,

Thanks! We had previously determined it was Cotswold Blue, even though it is listed as available to 1964 and the car is a 1965. It was built in early October 1964 as the model years were changing. The build certificate lists the color as dark blue, but it's not the dark blue poly listed on your chart. I suspect that the color Cotswold Blue may have been dropped and some 1965 cars were painted that color as long as they had it on hand. The other possibility is that the name Cotswold Blue was dropped in favor of Dark Blue sounding more contemporary. Hard to say, but we are going with Cotswold Blue for now.

The photo was taken at our local cars and coffee with another 3.8S on the register P1B76415DN of John Quilter.
