Thank you for the picture Glyn. I wanted to buy this car when it was first offered for sale. I missed out. It came up again and I did get it.

Thank you all for the welcome. This was just the type of car we were looking for. My kids, 12 year old daughter and 10 year old son, and I were looking for a fun car. We spent a good deal of time finding one we all could agree on. One day I pointed out a MKII to the kids and they loved it. I prefer the S-Type so when this one came up we went for it. We wanted a somewhat scruffy driver and this fit the bill.

A couple of nights ago we went out for pizza. Parked on the street in front of the place. As we were sitting outside we were able to see a number of people looking at the car. When two older gentlemen were giving it a good look and started taking pictures my son went over to them. We kept the windows down and the car unlocked. My son told them that they could have a good look and opened the door for them to climb in. My kids were tickled that they could share our fun car with others.

We put on new tires and while the wheels were off my daughter and I cleaned the wheels and greased all we could. Now all three of us are starting to look at the wood and how we can get it to look better. It is fun doing it with them.

Welcome to the S Type register Scott, that's a very nice looking car you have bought with a good spec as well.

Hi Gang,

I'm the one who bought this car. Looking forward to learning more about the S-Type as my kids and I drive and refurbish it.

The car is on the Register & would appear to have a well documented history.

It would be a good basis for a restoration. $600 to replace the clutch slave cylinder
