Yes Glyn it is a pressed folded steel bracket not the Alloy one you have shown. The base is still Alloy but it bolts to the steel bracket which is then bolted to the inner wing. It seems to stick out further in to the engine bay then the alloy bracket version. Now come to think about it I have a couple of those Alloy brackets lying around in boxes that I could not place on the car. Not from my car but from job lot S Type spares I had bought. I did not think they came from the S Type but now I see where they go.

Interesting Rob,
If I'm seeing correctly your late car seems to use a pressed steel reservoir mounting bracket. On early cars it was part of the alloy casting with an alloy shim piece to suit the wheelarch of the respective car.

Yes you can possibly buy some small rubber bungs to go in the holes or put some short nuts and bolts with stainless penny washers over the holes just to seal them up and stop the crap coming through from the wheel arch.

This is the left side inner wing with the three items that sit on the wing. Left to right they are the power steering reservoir, the Voltage regulator and then the auxiliary powerpoint.

There is one more item to the right of the powerpoint which is the water Bottle which is not shown in the first photo but sits on the three screws you can see just to its right. The water bottle can bee seen in this second photo.

I presume you mean the power steering reservoir mounting Joe. IIRC your car has manual steering.

OK....the brain teaser today is: My Jag is right hand drive. On the passenger side, next to the voltage regulator, towards the firewall, there are three holes. I know bolts go through the holes from inside the car because I have pictures of the bolts. But, what part is bolted to the inside of the wheel well using these three holes? Cannot figure this one out. Yeah, I know....I am a rookie.
