Raining here today. Weather is all screwed up. As long as the tube follows that row of attachment tabs it is correct. The moulded tube actually follows that scuttle line fairly accurately. Also the Auto tunnel is wider than a Manual tunnel. That gold car (Desert sand?) I show above is an Auto. I don't think that the Auto tunnel moved the tab positioning by any appreciable amount. Seems there was only ever one scuttle drain tube P/N.

Great. Thanks for the confirmation, Glyn, plus the photos. Glad I got it right, finally.

Hi Orlando ~ I've taken a look at my original hard photos. I photographed the engine compartment on all 3 sides after we swung the engine & transmission out but alas the scuttle pipe was already off. You can see where we bent back those tabs. Will try again & photograph my car with it fitted.

Unless you have any old pix from before restoration. I have no body tabs within the gearbox tunnel and it is pretty chock full of BW DG autobox! No urgency; I won't be using it much over the next few months; they have started gritting here, though I can't really complain. We've had a much-extended salt-free season.
Orlando ~ your scuttle vent drain tube appears to be running exactly where it should. It does not belong behind the exhaust cam cover. The scuttle drain nipple is not behind the exhaust cam cover. Will have another go at a pic. My before pics are all pre digital era

mine are not rusted outside, but inside I don't know the kind of crud there might be.

I have cleaned some metal tubing with muriatic acid more or less satisfactorily, but it never is like new.

If yours are in good condition and not too furred up inside, yes, you might as well keep them. Mine were just cobbled together, so they had to go really. I think having the SNGB ones corrected would be pretty easy if you lived near a friendly plumber or exhaust shop. They're not far out. I've also provided feedback to Peter Stant at SNGB, so hopefully future sets will be more accurate. He must dread it when an email arrives from me!

I would like to install those in my car but if you say they don't really fit, I think I'll just send mine to get them blasted clean since they are not rusted.

I do not think the drain hose is routed correctly as shown in the picture.

In my car, the original deteriorated hose was behind the cam cover, inside the bulkhead / firewall "cutout" where the transmission joins the engine, at a 90 degree angle downwards from the pipe to the ground.

the way you have it, it is outside the firewall cutout towards the heater valve at an angle that defeats draining somewhat.

I have not been able to get a picture of mine because the car is in a dark storage. I tried but all I got was a black picture.
